Free Virtual Counseling for Military & Veteran Caregivers
Confidential support designed just for you—because caring for yourself is as important as caring for your hero.
A New Pilot Program Just for Caregivers
Are you caring for a wounded, ill, or injured service member or veteran? The Elizabeth Dole Foundation, in partnership with Leidos QTC Health Services, is offering a no-cost virtual counseling program for military and veteran caregivers ages 18+ in California, Florida, and Texas.
This pilot program offers confidential, solution-focused counseling to support your wellbeing—and your participation and feedback will help shape future services for caregivers like you.
Who can participate?
Military and veteran caregivers ages 18+ in California, Florida, and Texas who are experiencing stress, burnout, or other mental health challenges related to their caregiving roles. A “military or veteran caregiver” is an individual who assists or provides ongoing support to a wounded, ill, or injured service member or veteran who is recovering from an illness or injury. This person may assist with offering emotional support, assisting with personal care, managing medications, coordinating appointments, providing transportation, monitoring symptoms, advocating within health and benefit systems, and/or helping with household and financial responsibilities. Being a caregiver is not defined by the relationship you have with the veteran or service member. You can be spouses/partners, parents, children, siblings, neighbors, friends, etc. As this is a pilot program we are seeking a small sample size of caregivers, initially launching in the states of California, Florida, and Texas so that we can evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of a potential program.
Not in one of the three pilot states? We still want to connect with you and assist. Simply click “Apply” to complete a short form and share your contact information. One of our Elizabeth Dole Foundation Resource Navigators will personally reach out to listen, learn about your needs, and share mental health supports and caregiver resources available to you now.
