The Air Force Aid Society offers assistance to eligible Airmen and their dependents.
Eligibility is defined as Active duty Air Force members and dependent family members (includes wounded warriors); ANG/AFR personnel on extended active duty over 15 days under Title 10 USC; Retired AF members; Surviving widows(ers) and dependents of deceased retirees. Spouses of eligible Airmen serving as caregivers may receive assistance with the service member’s approval. AFAS offers emergency financial assistance in the form of interest-free loans and grants; educational grants and loans; and community programs offered through an Air Force installation’s Airman and Family Readiness Center.
