Hope for the Holidays

Caregivers – you’ve stood by your service members and veterans. It’s our turn to stand with you.

We know 2020 has been a challenging year for so many. In the midst of COVID-19, caregiving has never been this hard. That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation to support military and veteran caregivers with financial assistance.

With the holiday season just around the corner, we are eager to help you with financial support through this challenging time.

All applicants will also be invited to join our peer support network, Hidden Heroes Caregiver Community, and offered access to our financial planning support program.

  2. You must have a demonstrated financial need.
  3. Submit an application by December 11, 2020, and your application will be reviewed during our first review window. All who submit an application by the December 11 deadline will be notified via email on December 18, and if selected, receive funds the week of December 21.
  4. Funds are limited and will be distributed to military caregivers who demonstrate the greatest financial need.

Frequently Asked Questions

With the generous support from the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation, military and veteran caregivers will be eligible to receive $500 or more to help you and your family during this challenging time. The first round of applications will be reviewed after the December 11 deadline, and awards will be given to those who have illustrated the following criteria: impact of COVID-19, demonstrated financial need, and who meet additional eligibility criteria as determined by the Elizabeth Dole Foundation.

The funds will be distributed via gift cards. In the application, we ask you to choose to receive an electronic gift card or a physical gift card that is sent to your mailing address. When making your decision, please remember electronic gift cards are generally for use online, and physical gift cards are easiest to use in stores. If you select the electronic gift card option, you will receive a digital card within 2 days of being notified of the award. If you select a physical card, you will receive a card within 2-3 weeks of notification. We encourage you to select the electronic gift card option so you can receive the funds faster.

In order to apply for the Hope for the Holidays program, you need a completed application and a document with you or your veterans name on it that comes from the Department of Defense or the Department of Veterans Affairs.
