Student Veterans of America (SVA) is the country’s premier organization for student veterans. SVA supports all veterans through their transition from the military, educational advancement and career growth. SVA represents a network of more than 1,500 chapters on campuses in all 50 states and four countries representing more than 750,000 student veterans at those colleges and universities.
In 2019, SVA received a Hidden Heroes Fund Grant from the Elizabeth Dole Foundation to conduct survey research to unlock insights about student veterans who are caregivers, caregivers of student veterans, and college students who are caregivers. This research will focus on how these responsibilities impact the educational experience, what we can learn about these populations, and how we can better support them.
