Operation We Are Here is an exhaustive resource website for service members, veterans, families, caregivers, parents and military supporters.
Military families appreciate that they can find valuable resources in one, easy-to-navigate directory and say that Operation We Are Here is “like the military white and yellow pages.” Created by a military spouse in 2008, Operation We Are Here began as a mission to inform civilians how to practically care for military families going through deployment at a time when the needs of home front families were not receiving much attention. OWAH now lists Practical Insights in Caring for: deployed military personnel, home front families, parents of military personnel, families coping with wounds (seen and unseen) and families of the fallen. Operation We Are Here empowers military and veteran families and equips civilians to care. Lives are changed when people connect with the right resources.
