Henry’s Home is an all-volunteer 501c3 that takes in rescued horses, and other farm animals, and gives them a forever home and meaningful work in its Horses & Heroes Equine Program, which offers EAGALA [Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association] psychotherapy to veterans and first responders, offering peer-group, private and family sessions, always at no cost to them.
Henry’s Home is in the process of starting other equine assisted sessions and opportunities for veterans and first responders and their family members and caretakers as well. Henry’s Home plans to include horse handling and therapeutic riding sessions for family members over the age of 12, spouse overnight camping and therapy retreats, veteran and first responder family overnight camping opportunities, and regular morning and afternoon/evening drop-off horse-time sessions for veterans to give their caregivers a break.
