A Head for the Future is an initiative by the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) (https://dvbic.dcoe.mil), which is a part of the U.S. Military Health System. Specifically, A Head for the Future is an outreach campaign by DVBIC, which focuses on the research and education of veterans, providers and caregivers about traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Traumatic Brain Injury is a challenge to diagnose. While DVBIC focuses specifically on TBI, there are other conditions, such as domestic abuse, amputations, epilepsy, seizures, memory loss, speech impediments, PTSD, and other fall or concussive-related events that could also be diagnosed as TBI.
