Hidden Helpers Survey

Helping Health Care Professionals Better Understand Military Caregiving Families and Children

Seeking Military Caregiving Families to Provide Input

Nemours Children’s Health and the Elizabeth Dole Foundation are seeking adults from military caregiving families to take part in a web-based survey and/or virtual focus group as part of a research project. *Please note that the virtual focus groups are at capacity, but we still encourage you to take the online survey.

What You Need to Know to Take the Survey

The Hidden Helpers Coalition is a joint effort of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP), and the Biden Administration’s Joining Forces initiative. The 75+ member organizations in the Coalition work to fill gaps in support and services for children and adolescents that live in homes with wounded, injured, or ill service members and veterans.

A major research study focused on military caregiver children and adolescents surfaced gaps and needs among hidden helpers, including the need to provide clinicians with training and resources to better connect with, and care for, military caregiving children/teens.

As a member of the Hidden Helpers Coalition, Nemours Children’s Health has committed to develop a collection of trainings and other resources designed for health care professionals to increase their ability to connect with, and care for, military caregiving children/patients and their families. Nemours Children’s is developing the collection in partnership with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation (EDF).

To help understand what’s needed in the collection of trainings and resources, Nemours Children’s and EDF are seeking input from parents/guardians of military caregiving children (i.e., children who help provide care and support to a parent with service-related injuries or illnesses) through a research project.

Participants must be:
